Amber retired from competitive skating on March 22 after an outstanding international career that was maintained over a decade. Amber competed at the U.S. Championships on the senior level since 1995, when she placed 16th. Since that year she has placed in the top 10 every year minus one. She will remain involved with the U.S. Figure Skating Association and plans to contribute to the sport in other ways.
