Evgeni Plushenko is one of the world's most dramatic skaters.

Evgeni Plushenko won theGold Medal Friday night at the Crest Whitestrips International Figure Skating Challenge in Auburn Hills, Mich.

Plushenko, one of the hottest and dominant skaters so far this season, beat a star-studded field. The win earned Plushenko the top spot for the Grand Prix Final.

MCE's Irina Slutskaya finished third snf Ann Patrice McDonough finished fourth.

Plushenko, who also won his two Grand Prix events, Cup of Russia and Bofrost, beat a field that also included an Olympic lineup. Michael Weiss was second.Timothy Goebel was third, Takeshi Honda fourth, Alexei Yagudin fifth and Matt Savoie sixth.
